Limestone Pavers & Limestone Tiles

Limestone is a natural stone deposited from mineral hot springs in lakes, the ocean or other bodies of water. It is an extremely tough and beautiful stone that is guaranteed to last the test of time. As a result, it has been a popular building material for thousands of years. For example, one of the most famous examples of a limestone structure are the pyramids in Giza in Egypt. This is a true testament to it’s durability and timeless appeal.

Why choose limestone tiles and pavers?

Limestone tiles and stone pavers are a great choice for both indoor and outdoor applications. As outdoor tiles, limestone pavers are a practical and smart selection. This is because they are naturally tough and weather resistant. Therefore, you don’t need to worry about the tiles expanding or reacting to extreme heatwaves or frost. Also, limestone makes excellent pool paving. This is because it doesn’t absorb heat from the sun. Rather, it absorbs the heat from the earth which makes them cooler to walk on bare feet on those hot summer days. In addition, limestone has a natural non slip surface which is great to lay around pools especially if you have young children and/or pets. Our limestone has similar practical properties to travertine. However, limestone doesn’t have those surface holes and voids that are characteristic to travertine stone tiles. For this reason, some renovators prefer the stone tiles over travertine.
